A Sweet (And Salty) Celebration

After a classical wedding ceremony at the stunning Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Rome, guests of Dani and Sam’s wedding drove a short distance to Broad Street for the reception. The aroma of warm and buttery popcorn filled the air as guests arrived at the historic Forrest Placeballroom where they were met with popcorn being made in a vintage red popcorn cart. To everyone’s surprise, the popcorn could be combined with yummy additions of Sour Patch Kids, chocolate chunks, cheese and even marshmallows! This fun attraction was a great way to entertain guests, serve as a cute conversation piece, and provide an appetizing favor!

On the other side of the entrance, a gift table was placed as a showcase for a beautiful painting. Instead of a traditional guest book, the couple had the creative idea to have a tree trunk with a carved out heart and initials painted on a canvas with their names and wedding date displayed at the bottom. Guests were given colorful stamp pads to stamp their thumb prints onto the canvas as leaves.

If guests were looking for more of a sweet appetizer instead of the salty popcorn, Two Can Do catering had an enticing display of luscious strawberries, pineapples, and other fruit along with a plethora of crackers, dip and cucumber and tomato sandwiches that were a crowd favorite.

As guests walked past the fruit bar and up the steps into the music from The Tom and Chad Show, they were greeted by the square three tier wedding cake from HoneyMoon Bakery. The cake incorporated the yellow and grey color palette integrated in the bouquets from Bussey’s and the bridal party’s attire. The delectable cake was decorated with bursts of colored grey and yellow icing and topped with two charming wooden yellow birds.

Dani and Sam enjoyed the perfect summer afternoon wedding!
