The harmonies of strings, trumpet and organ serenaded excited guests at the First Baptist Church of Rome as the Bride and Groom’s families were seated. Bride Anna walked down the aisle to “The Bridal Chorus” with her beaming father by her side.
After the ceremony, everyone proceeded to the bride’s family’s home in Rome to celebrate the marriage. Guests began by signing the couple’s “cook book”, allowing them to choose which recipe they wanted to sign on! Bluegrass tunes from the Groundhawgs entertained the crowd, while yummy appetizers were passed by tuxedo-clad servers.
Once the grand curtains to the dining tent were opened, the guests were greeted by music provided by a string quartet. The twinkling lights of the crystal chandeliers
cast a beautiful glow on the amazing tablescapes created by Bussey’s Flowers. Beautiful peach garden roses, ivory garden roses, antique hydrangea, seeded eucalyptus, lilies, and bells of Ireland were crafted into gorgeous arrangements throughout the tent.
The delectable dinner from Dennis Dean Catering barely outshined their impeccable service. The fine meal of braised short rib and herb-crusted chicken were perfectly paired by creamed spinach on a bed of grits.
After dinner, the band, Big Blast and the Party Masters, welcomed the bride and
groom onto the dance floor with “Into the Mystic.” The bride’s father welcomed guests and then joined his daughter on the dance floor. After another special dance between the groom and his mother, the happy couple cut the five-tier wedding cakedecorated with white garden roses, silver beads, and silver ribbon. After cake was served, the guests enjoyed endless dancing while wearing complementary flip-flops from beside the stage. The dancing and celebrating lingered into the evening!
Loving family and friends sent the couple off with birdseed as they climbed into a classic Mercedes and headed towards Barnsley Gardens!
