Erin and Tim had their guests at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in tears of joy as the bride walked down the aisle to the song How Beautiful. Following the sweet ceremony, everyone proceeded to The Foundry at Puritan Mill for the reception.
The bouquets filled with white roses were perfect accents to the wedding ceremony.
As the sun began to set and Cocktail Hour opened, drinks and savory appetizers were enjoyed by all. Guests mingled about, taking turns signing and stamping the guest book tree. A table set up beside the guest book was filled with photos in memory of past generations of love, including each family’s wedding pictures, a lovely way to celebrate the history of these two families!
The tall white curtains were drawn open to the dining area, and guests made their way to the tables adorned with luminous table arrangements which included silver tea light trees (rented from The Season) and floating candles among roses and hydrangea from Viridis Designs.
Curtains swooped down from the beams; a beautiful backdrop to the dining area.
The newlyweds and wedding party were greeting with excited exclamation as they enjoyed their first dance. The delicious dinner following the dancing included Caesar salad with shaved parmesan and garlic toast points, southern style creamy mac n’ cheese, and South City Kitchen’s famous fried chicken strips with black pepper gravy, a crowd favorite! Catering was provided by Bold American Catering from Atlanta.
As dinner came to a close, heartfelt and humorous toasts were given by the bride’s father, best man, and maid of honor. As guests found their way to the dance floor following the cake cutting, they also visited a corner designated to baseball. The groom, a baseball player with the Colorado Rockies minor league system, had a table celebrating the sport and his accomplishments which included baseball gear, chocolate baseball player pops, “smalls” Altoids (the groom’s nickname on the field), Home Run gum balls, Cracker Jacks and more – a Big Hit among the guests!
The elegant wedding cake was a centerpiece for the reception.
After the last dance, everyone wished the newlyweds farewell as they made their way to the honeymoon!
