After the ceremony, guests gathered around cocktail tables and Adirondack chairs set up on the lakeside lawn, enjoying refreshing drinks and appetizers from Harvest Moon. For those looking for a little more entertainment, corn hole boards set up around lake were sure to please!
As the sun began to set on the breathtaking venue, everyone found their seats in the wooden lodge complete with chandeliers made from branches and other rustic décor. The three tier white wedding cake garnished with white roses and hydrangea from Heaven Scent Cakes sat at the top of the steps as the centerpiece of the room overlooking the calm, serene lake and farmland.
At each seat, under rolled silverware adorned with fresh rosemary trimmings, guests found placemats which served as fun pieces to what would eventually become the guestbook! Each placemat included a place to draw a picture of yourself, your signature, how you know the couple, and wishes and advice for the couple – a fun and unique alternative to the traditional guestbook.
Once the delectable dinner catered by Harvest Moon was finished, the Bride and Groom preceded to cut the stunning wedding cake. Guests with more of a sweet tooth enjoyed the groom’s cake: a miniature wheel barrow filled with ground chocolate cookies for “mulch” and gummy worms scattered around, a sweet nod to the Groom’s love for gardening!
After the bouquet and garter toss, family and friends sent the newlyweds off in the Groom’s truck underneath a star filled night sky, a perfect close to an unforgettable wedding day!
