It’s a new year and The Season Events is giving a nod to 2014 even while we look forward to all that 2015 has in store. To get the year started off right, I took some time with Holly Lynch to get her perspective on some of the highlights of 2014 and plans for 2015.
What was a highlight of 2014?
Maybe the biggest move of 2014 was bringing Ray Harris and his team into The Season Events to expand our offerings to include catering. Ray has an amazing repertoire of dishes from his famous beef tenderloin to delicate hors d’oeuvres, all kinds of salads, seafood and chicken dishes, to desserts (like his awesome bread pudding!). It’s been fun merging our styles to have the food coordinate with the overall feel of an event. Ray will spend weeks tweaking and perfecting a recipe until he has it just right, and I’m so happy to have someone so dedicated as part of The Season Events team.
What are you looking forward to in 2015?
All the options for clients now—catering, bartending, planning—it really opens us up to many types of parties and celebrations! It’s exciting to watch The Season Events grow as we expand our services and gain expertise.
What are some of the ways The Season is growing?
After merging with Ray to provide catering, we started working on Meals-To-Go as an option for people who have tasted Ray’s food at an event and are looking for more! Meals-To-Go is a great option for busy people who need something in reserve in the freezer, and we really enjoy cooking these homemade, delicious meals. We also have some options for custom invitations now, and can provide those directly to our clients instead of directing them to another vendor. We’re looking forward to expanding this aspect of the business.
Tell us about the upcoming Bridal Expo:
The Northwest Georgia Bridal Expo is Saturday, January 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Clarence Brown Conference Center in Cartersville. A bridal show is a great place to meet LOTS of vendors who all LOVE weddings. It can be overwhelming for many people, but it’s really a great resource. People may visit booths with all types of wedding professionals, from gown designers to photographers to caterers to honeymoon spots. This show is really special as it’s the only one in Northwest Georgia this year, and the variety of vendors is tremendous. (See www.NWGeorgiaBridalExpo.com for more information.)
With lots of events planned (but lots of room for more), 2015 is promising to be a big year for The Season Events! To keep up with our progress and start planning your own event, follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, @TheSeasonEvents. We can’t wait to hear from you!
